CEO of Negin Bandar Abbas Petro-refinery Visits Project Site to Review Surface Water Drainage Works
The CEO of Negin Bandar Abbas Petro-refinery visited the project site to review the latest progress of construction and execution activities and assess the current status of the project’s surface water drainage plan.
According to the Public Relations Department of Negin Bandar Abbas Petro-refinery, during the visit, Dr. Arsalan Abdpour inspected various sections of the project site and reviewed the ongoing activities related to the collection, conveyance, and drainage of surface water.
A comprehensive report was presented on the measures undertaken as part of the surface water drainage projects, including the preparation of water conveyance routes, construction and rehabilitation of collection channels, development of waterways, and implementation of other related infrastructure. The latest status of the ongoing works, existing challenges, and the schedule for the continuation of activities were also reviewed.
Emphasizing the importance of implementing surface runoff management projects in accordance with proper engineering principles and applicable standards, the CEO of Negin Bandar Abbas Petro-refinery stated:
“Establishing appropriate infrastructure for surface water drainage is a fundamental requirement for preparing the project site and ensuring the stability and continuity of construction and execution activities.”
He also added:
Given the climatic conditions of the region and the possibility of heavy rainfall and seasonal surface runoff, the execution of this component must proceed in full compliance with technical, engineering, and safety requirements and in accordance with the approved schedule.”
During the remainder of the visit, the CEO emphasized the need to accelerate project implementation, maintain continuous coordination among the technical and construction units and contractors, ensure quality control of the operations, and address existing obstacles. He also called for regular progress reports on the implementation of the planned activities.
It is worth noting that the surface water drainage projects at the Negin Bandar Abbas Petro-refinery site are being implemented with the objective of protecting the project land, preventing water accumulation and infiltration, reducing the risks associated with surface runoff, safeguarding established infrastructure, and creating suitable conditions for the continued execution of construction and development activities.
